Well I haven't blogged in a while so this may be lengthy. First of all, we had our 36 week check up yesterday and things are going good. Little Amber isn't quite ready to make her debut yet, but that is okay. The longer she stays in the better it will be for all of us - I think. Everything looked and sounded good and at this point there were no concerns. We are all pulling for her to be here on Sunday the 1st which would be Richard's birthday and the superbowl and what better day to make your arrival than on Superbowl Sunday for your daddy's birthday (who just happens to be a coach :) ) I had a shower this past Saturday given by my family and it was wonderful. I can not even begin to tell you how amazing it was and how much she got. She is going to be one styling little girl - the clothes we have gotten is so cute. I'm going to have to change her 10 times a day just to see her in all of it before she outgrows it. We also got a very cute car seat stroller combo from my hostesses and a "spa" bathtub. That is just a few of the things she got. We are truly blessed to be loved by such amazing people.
On Sunday, Richard and I went to the Brad Paisley concert and it was out of this world. It was truly one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Thank you honey for the tickets - I had such a great time. Brad Paisley performed for 2 hours. We got our money's worth that is for sure. We were about 10 rows away from the R hand side of the stage - so close I could see his..... biceps ladies biceps !!!!! Man oh man can he play that guitar !!! It was fun to go out with my husband and enjoy ourselves. Mom thanks for keeping the boys so late even when you had to come to work the next morning.
All in all it has been an exciting weekend and we are anxiously awaiting Amber's arrival. We can't wait for her to be here and finally get to meet her and see who she looks like. I'm sure it will be her daddy as all my kids have looked just like him when they are born. I will blog as soon as I can to let everyone know all the details. God bless each of you. Enjoy the snow and the cold. Snuggle up with your loved one and be happy.

Over The Weekend
Well, it was a good restful weekend. We really didn't have much to do or many places to go so that was nice. I did have my first shower this weekend. It was hosted by the ladies in my Sunday School and it was a very good shower. It was so much fun to open all the wonderful gifts we received. It's funny, I've had babies in 2 different generations and so I'm getting lots of the new stuff that wasn't available when the boys were born. It's neat to see how much there is out there to use, and some of it I'd just rather not use!!!!!
We got home and Richard went through all the stuff and said "I've never seen so much pink in my life." Despite all that he had a good time going through all the stuff and enjoyed all the beautiful clothes and neat things little Amber got. He is going to be such a good daddy to this little girl. He is so anxious to see her and hold her, I can't wait to see the look on his face when she gets here.
My mom didn't get to go to the shower so I got to look through the stuff again with her and that was lots of fun. She is very excited also. Overall we had a great turnout and all was wonderful.
I have a dr. appt. today and will keep you updated. Other than that life is normal for right now anyway.

Happy New Year
Well it is the beginning of a new year and we have a lot to be thankful for this past year. God has blessed our family tremendously this past year and we are so grateful. God is awesome all the time. As we start the new year we are all looking forward to the arrival of our sweet baby girl. We had a good report at this lask dr.'s visit. My fluid levels were up and she has turned head down (yeah no c-section). I was really worried about that. She is gaining weight, still a little behind, and she is growing well. We are very excited. We welcomed in the new year with my family and Richard's family and that was very nice.
It has been a rough week in our house as we have dealt with the loss of our schnauzer Haley. It seems like the house is so empty with her gone and Aspen still at the vets office. She has been there for 2 days now and may get to come home tomorrow. She is still in a a lot of pain and recovering from the tap they did on her chest to remove the excess air trapped in her chest cavity. We are all hoping she can come home tomorrow. We have decided as a family that there will be no more new dogs in the house. We will love the ones we have but will not be replacing any. It's too hard to lose them and too hard to deal with that loss.
Again, we have had a good year and I know that God is going to bless is in the new year. I pray blessings on all of you and your families and pray that as you enter a new year, you enter it with prayer for God's will and guidance to be evident in your lives.
