Unlike the Easterwoods we haven't been everywhere, but we did drive lots of miles. We left last Sunday to San Antonio to begin our South Padre Vacation. This coming right after finding out I was pregnant. We really needed to get away to deal with all the shock. For those who don't know - there were 16 of us who went. We are so fortunate that both my family and Richard's family get along well enought that we can do all this stuff together. We went to the RiverWalk on Sunday night, after spending some time in the pool at the hotel, and had a blast. We ate on the Riverwalk (wonderful Mexican food) and then took the tour boat. It was lots of fun. We headed out Monday morning for South Padre. We were a little disgruntled as we drove in because of course it was raining and the forecast called for rain the whole week. However, God blessed us by clearing the skies and we enjoyed some wonderful sunny days. AS soon as we got there, the boys were ready to head out to the beach. We spent about 5 hours on the beach Monday and then Tuesday we spent about 10 hours on the beach and in the water. My boys are water boys - I think they are half fish. They absolutely loved it and had a great time in the waves. Wednesday we went out to Schlitterbahn. It was okay, not big at all so we only spent half the day there and then went back to the - you guessed it- beach!!! Thursday was great. We went out on a Dolphin Watch boat and got to see the Dolphins and some great sights. It was an amazing tour for the family. Then the Richard and the boys went parasailing. I didn't get to go or even take pictures but they said it was so much fun. AFter that we went shopping and then back to the beach. We left for San Antonio on Friday morning and went back to the Riverwalk to celebrate my parent's anniversary (38 years). We got home about 6:00 on Saturday night and there is nothing more glorious than coming back home. We had a blast. Thanks to all who helped watch my dogs and my house. We are now praising God for the new addition to our family and for the most part I am feeling okay. Not great but okay. I hope you are all having a great summer and are getting ready for school. It's right around the corner. God Bless you all.
